The following article appeared in a July 2019 newsletter distributed to all employees at Wasserstrom, a Columbus, Ohio-based restaurant supplier.
We at Dale Carnegie are always happy to see our graduates succeed, and we’re always thrilled to see their hard work – especially when it’s action driven by their own initiative – recognized by their organization.
Richard has been at Wasserstrom for 12 years and currently works as one of our Account Supervisors in Tony Austing’s replenishment group on accounts such as Popeyes, Raising Cane’s, Arby’s, Wendy’s, and Bob Evans.
We’re celebrating Richard because during a recent leadership training course that he took on his own initiative, he received the “Reporting Award” through a vote by his class. Tony Austing received the following message from Bob Allen, President & CEO of Dale Carnegie Training of Central Ohio:
Richard Harrison has honored you and your organization by joining the select group of award winners in the class Leadership Training for Managers. Richard received the “Reporting” award in Session 2 on June 25, 2019. This award is especially significant because it was presented by a vote of Richard’s fellow class members.
An accomplishment such as this reflects favorably on your entire organization. We know that you will want to congratulate Richard.

According to AVP and Client Champion Cory Beech, his “hard work and positive attitude creates a ripple effect among his colleagues.” A huge congratulations to Richard for this accomplishment, and a huge thank you for his daily commitment and positive impact on his team and customer accounts. If you see him, be sure to give him a pat on the back!
